The UEFA team draw on Thursday 25 August linked Bayer 04 Leverkusen to Club Brugge, the calendar was announced on 29 August and on 7 September the German 'super club' would travel to Belgium.
In organizational terms, this means that you only have four working days to prepare everything for hotels, transfers, and adapted programs for six delegations, totaling some 120 persons (team, youth team, sponsors, executive board, press and fans)!
In the recent past, Way2events already worked on the travel details for German club teams such as Bayern Munich (Brussels), Borussia Dortmund (Amsterdam – Bruges), Wolfsburg (Ghent) and Hoffenheim (Ghent), so Bayer 04 Leverkusen easily found its way to Way2events.
Our incoming DMC team immediately started preparing. Hotels, bus companies, restaurants and guides were quickly polled for availability in the mega-busy month of September! However, experience and knowledge of the job pays off. As a result, a wonderful incoming program was put together for each delegation. All in close cooperation and under the approving eye of Bayer 04 Leverkusen's regular travel partner. After all, for this German football giant with an annual budget of 460 million euros, every detail is extremely important.
At Way2events this is, of course, the standard basic rule for every incentive or event under our care. Hence, no problem at all!
At certain moments, 13 vehicles are driving around on such a day, from a Mercedes Vito to a 500SL, from equipment bus to players’ bus. For each vehicle we always know who is on board, who is driving the vehicle, etc. Yes, call us maniacs to detail!
