Croatia? It’s not a glossy brochure, it’s a feeling. Or better: osjećaj.

Anyone can show a beach. Anyone can rent a boat. But that doesn’t create an incentive that truly hits home. That’s why we chose Croatia. Not for the cliché “sun & sea,” but for what it really is: kontrasti that stick. Luxury next to rawness. History next to modern energy. Silence next to chaos.

Starting soft? Not if you want to make an impact.

An incentive that begins with a lukewarm coffee after landing? Ne, hvala. Our guests got a rooftop overlooking the Jadransko more and a cocktail that said: “Dobrodošli – welcome, hold on tight.” The tone was set: stylish, but with an edge.

Opatija – aristocratic flair with a twist

Opatija is the lady in red of the Adriatic coast. Chic, elegant, slightly untouchable. Once the playground of European aristocracy, still breathing grandeur today. And that’s exactly why we went all in. First a gastronomic dinner paying full tribute to that heritage, followed by a casino night that added just the right amount of decadence. Yes, it was allowed to be previše. In fact, it had to be.

Day two: od mora do planine

At sea, Croatia is Instagram perfection. Island of Krk, hidden bays, a lunch uz more. Everything picture-perfect. But perfection without rough edges gets boring. So we turned the wheel: Risnjak National Park. Raw, quiet, pure. From azure waters to fragrant pine forests. That contrast? That was the magic. Because only when you switch from polished shoes to muddy boots, you feel alive.

Rijeka – the raw finale

Rijeka nije kulisa. Rijeka živi. Rijeka isn’t a backdrop, it’s alive. A city that sweats, vibrates and pulls you in. With a local guide we wandered through markets, squares and stories raw enough to feel real. On top of Trsat Castle, the Adriatic stretched before us like a gift. And to close: the Božićni sajam – Christmas market. Lights, chaos, tradition, warmth. The essence of Rijeka, all in one night.

Safe is boring. This was anything but safe – and far from boring.

We know, we could have played it safe with a tidy city trip. But sigurna varijanta? To nije naš stil. This was an incentive that surprised, provoked, even pushed a little. Because that’s where the magic happens.

Croatia gave us the soul. We brought the guts. And that’s why this sticks. This was one you’ll want to feel again (and again, and again…).
