When the opponents for KAA Ghent rolled out of the draw bowl on Friday 26 August in the Turkish capital Istanbul (Molde FK, Norway; Djurgardens IF, Sweden and Shamrock Rovers FC, Ireland), everyone in the organizing team was satisfied. After all, this meant limited travel, no visa problems, and no insurmountable time differences.
Now all we had to do was hope to be able to play the first game at home as there was barely one week between the fixing of the calendar by UEFA and the first game. Unfortunately, on Monday 29 August, it turned out that five working days later, some delegates already had to leave for Molde, Norway.
Don't worry though! At such moments, Way2events can rely on its many years of experience and extensive network. After all, on Wednesday they already traveled to beautiful Molde via a connecting flight in Oslo. Hotels, restaurants, stadium, practice pitches, airport and transfers were discussed, approved, and confirmed. Afterwards, they immediately flew to Stockholm to start the necessary preparations there as well.
On 7 September, the delegation with the team, the executive board and the press left for Molde. The day before, the first employees of the organization had already traveled to Norway.
The runway lies parallel to a breathtaking fjord. Hence, the beautiful panoramas from the plane on the glaciers, fjords and green forests are burned into everyone's retina. A unique experience!
In addition to the natural beauty of the Norwegian fjords and the beautiful weather, the result was also beautiful! Off to Stockholm!
